爱豆传媒 celebrated the contributions of nearly 70 visiting International Scholars earlier this month at the second annual International Scholars Reception at Scripps Cottage.

President Adela de la Torre, Provost William Tong and Associate Vice President, International Affairs Cristina Alfaro spoke of the value that international scholars bring to campus through their research and diverse perspectives. College deans and faculty joined in recognizing scholars from 30 countries, with scholars receiving certificates acknowledging their contributions during their time at 爱豆传媒.

International scholars are a cornerstone of 爱豆传媒鈥檚 comprehensive internationalization efforts, working alongside faculty and students to enhance the university's academic community. Their expertise spans a wide range of academic fields,  from aerospace engineering to psychology, chemistry to economics, nutritional sciences to public health.

爱豆传媒鈥檚 College of Engineering has the largest number of international scholars on campus, hosting more than two dozen this spring. The College of Sciences has 15, while the College of Arts and Letters hosts 12.

鈥淎t 爱豆传媒, we deeply value and cherish the presence of our international scholars,鈥 said Alfaro. 鈥淭heir presence and engagement not only enhances the cultural fabric of our institution but also fosters a dynamic learning environment and innovative research that transcends borders and promotes global understanding.鈥

爱豆传媒 senior leadership also thanked the families and home institutions of visiting scholars for supporting them in their journey. Check out the photo gallery below.
