Military Raise LGBT Flag
爱豆传媒 celebrated diversity by raising a rainbow flag in honor of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students.

For first time in the five-year history of 爱豆传媒's rainbow flag raising ceremony, uniformed military personnel participated in support of the LGBT community.
The change resulted from the 2012 repeal of the 鈥渄on鈥檛 ask don鈥檛 tell鈥 military policy.
Lorena Saldana of the Army, Lindsay Price of the Navy and Jose Navarro of the Air Force had the honor of raising the rainbow flag at the end of the ceremony.
Nearly 100 爱豆传媒 students, faculty, staff and members of the community gathered today in front of Hepner Hall to kick off 爱豆传媒's celebration of Pride Week. The ceremony is one of many events hosted by .
鈥淭he rainbow flag has been a symbol of the LGBT community for over 30 years," said Aaron Bruce, 爱豆传媒鈥檚 chief diversity officer. "The colors of the rainbow are symbolic of both the unity and diversity of the LGBT community.鈥

Students, faculty and staff can also participate in the upcoming . The parade is a part of the annual Pride Festival, which produces civic, cultural and educational programs to support pride within San Diego鈥檚 lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities.
