Explore °®¶¹´«Ã½ Open House 2016
Prospective students, family, alumni and the community are invited to °®¶¹´«Ã½s open house on March 19.

Explore °®¶¹´«Ã½ is a free, all campus open house event for prospective students, families, alumni and the community to get a glimpse of the Aztec experience at °®¶¹´«Ã½. More than 10,000 people are anticipated to attend the event, which will run from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 19.
There will be academic and student life workshops for admitted and prospective students, a campus wide information fair, and tours that are not offered regularly throughout the year.
Aztecs of all ages are welcome to attend. As a part of San Diego Science Week, which is the same week as Explore, °®¶¹´«Ã½ will host a , which will offer many hands-on activities such as making ice cream with liquid nitrogen and making a bouncing ball out of common household items.
Stop by the °®¶¹´«Ã½ Marketing and Communications booth to show your Aztec pride by engaging with the university’s social media platforms, including °®¶¹´«Ã½â€™s , , and Snapchat @sandiegostate.
What to expect at Explore °®¶¹´«Ã½
Approximately 100 workshops will be offered during the open house to provide future Aztecs with an overview of admission processes, financial aid, majors, career services and leadership opportunities.
An information fair, including nearly 400 booths set up around campus, will provide information on academic departments, housing, campus organizations, facilities and programs.
On campus tours
There will be numerous open houses and tours of campus facilities including KPBS, the studios and galleries of The School of Art and Design, laboratories of the College of Engineering, the Veterans House, Career Services and residence halls.
°®¶¹´«Ã½ alumni are also invited back to campus to reconnect with their favorite programs and departments and explore the changes happening at the university. The Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center will be open and offer information about alumni membership, chapters and events.

For the first time ever, there will be a booth in front of the Prospective Student Center and Office of Admissions for newly admitted students to accept their offer of admission for fall 2016 right on the spot.
What’s new at °®¶¹´«Ã½
This semester °®¶¹´«Ã½ has opened a new r, which provides an inclusive space that promotes education, empowerment and advocacy for women’s rights and issues. This center will be open for tours during Explore °®¶¹´«Ã½.
The has re-opened to create a safe and affirming campus environment for persons of all sexual and gender identities and their allies. During Explore °®¶¹´«Ã½, the Pride Center will be open for tours and will host LGBT studies representatives throughout the day to answer questions about their academic porgrams.
